Your data will be shared with no one
Any data you share with me via direct email, Dropbox or Google Drive will solely be used to build your tree on Ancestry, and will not be shared with anyone else.
How long I retain your data
All data you provide to me for the making of your tree will be kept during the duration of working together, plus a minimum of one year, up to possibly 5 years, so that we can start up again if you’d like to. You also have the right to have me delete all of your data by written request at anytime, and I will do so.
Where I store your data
Your data will be stored on Ancestry within your own account, or my account if you have me begin there. Data you share with me will be held within my personal email account, as well as Dropbox or Google Drive (whichever you prefer).
What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes, such as the original request and permission to work together.
Media
Any time you upload images to a website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website. This will not be an issue once photos are added to Ancestry.
